A Statement from your Chair

“Welcome to Curridge Primary School.  There is always a lot going on in the school so we hope our website gives a good insight into all of the exciting events taking place and opportunities on offer.  I like to think the school combines the best of traditional village school character with excellent teaching and inspirational surroundings.  Everyone in our school is encouraged to support and encourage those around them and in the wider village community.

Our Governing Body is made up of elected representatives from the local community, parents, staff and the Local Authority.  We are responsible for the strategic development and financial management of the school, but we also see ourselves as mentors and friends to the school community.  The life of a Curridge Primary School Governor is varied, from participating in after school clubs, sporting events, carrying out routine maintenance jobs and acting as a source of vital advisory support when necessary.

The Governing Body is extremely proud of the school’s staff and pupils. The school’s results have consistently put us at the top end of West Berkshire’s league tables. In 2014 the school was amongst those singled out by the Department of Education for outstanding results.”

Minutes of Full Governing Body (“FGB”) meetings are available from the school office, upon request.
